Artist's Comments Download for 1920x1200 Wide-Screen Wallpaper Size Oh, man, if this year hadn't been such hell, this would have been done a lot sooner: I started this almost a year ago! This is for the wonderful Michi!  It's her original character, Saphine, and was pretty much based on this cute Chibi: [link] I hadn't seen her new avatar, which I think is just so damn cute, when I started. I kind of just took free reign with most of it. It was done in photoshop with a tablet. I looked at some otter pictures on cute otters.com for quick reference (check that place out, soooo cute.) It was going to be a nighttime scene but I don't really know what time of day/night it ended up being... "Random" color time maybe.// I was going to put a magpie or a peregrine falcon (colors would have matched nicely) on her shoulder -but I started to think it would be too animal heavy thenI must thank Jake, Chronentity/Diana, Louisa, Mandy, and more for the helpful ass critiques.  Man, I just love otters .period. I had to find a way to work them into one of my drawings X)The maple leaves use to take up a ton of the picture to make even more of a boarder, but the people I mentioned above said it would flow better if I pushed them back: but not to loose them all together either.
