It got a bad pun for the name because I'm brain dead. I'm just experimenting- let me know what you think of all these silly bird things.
The original is roughly 3 x 6.5 inches. I used a mechanical pencil, a prismacolor blue pencil, waterproof pen, and it was mostly done with acrylic paint and in one of the cheap, thin paper, moleskine sketchbooks. The image is of a Coot, and was referenced from the Birds of Oregon Field Guide by Stan Tekiela [link] Comments

--     Wanting to see some sweet art? (literally?) Come visit the Sage-of-Winds  !  Cute title. The colors are beautiful. I don't think I'm qualified for any sort of critique (I wouldn't know what to say anyhow) but I can say that this looks like it would make a wonderful addition to any homes decor. Particularly if there are more, as a set. I want to say more but my brain isn't going to work with me on it.  I can't put it to words. Not that it really matters. To sum it up, it's a beautiful painting and I like what you're doing here. ^^-- I am an art patron, not an artist! --- "I've still got all my fingers but somewhere I lost my mind" -Dax Riggs-  Critique: Crop it about an inch from the top. The top seems empty compared to the rest of the picture, and I think that takes away from it. The middle and bottom - the coot and its shadow - is beautiful.

The woes of traditional~ I wish it was just on a photoshop layer that I could more towards the top or something XD But I can totally see what you are saying now that I look at it again. Maybe i can use PS to play around and see if there's anyway to make it less bottom-heavy top-void-ish
