This year has been hell and December has been no exception. ...But I'm slowly doing some drawings for people I know and that's been nice. It's taken my mind off things a bit.
This is Lum from Urusei Yatsura. I love Lum :3 This was done in photoshop with a tablet and I had problems deciding what to do for the background so I settled for this. It was a christmas gift so the text stays- sorry! It was originally 4000 pixels wide so I can post a larger version in scraps if people want to see it.
Side note: If you know Inu-Yasha but none of the earlier works by Rumiko Takahashi, you should check them out. Call me a snob but I find Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, and even some of her shorts, faarrrr superior to Inu-Yasha (Which, IMHO, seems more like a poor rehash of her predating characters.) Don't flame me; I'm sorry, I know people might disagree, I've just been a fan of her's forever and I just don't think it's her best work. Try the others if you haven't. They're different in some ways and not different in others

CommentsRumiko Takahashi's watercolors are so beautiful. And, I don't like Inuyasha as much either. XD I think that Inuyasha and Kagome look just like the same characters in Ranma. lol But, you did such a great job on this!!! Ahhh, I love how did he skin!

..the fabric details are just.. sickening. Sickeningly awesome. I think I hate you slightly more than usual. I adore the pattern on the kimono. It is amazing. And I always love your CG in general.
Inuyasha was the first of Rumiko Takahashi's work that I got into, although I had been wanting to get a hold of Ranma long before that. I use to love Inuyasha, but never read the manga and the anime lost its sparkle for me after episode 125 and the raging fans English dub created. >.<; Anyway- blah - I agree with you. I hope everything calms down for you and gets a lot less hectic. We all need more time to do the things we really want.  -- LENS FLARE IS THE ONLY MEDIUM THAT CAN COME CLOSE TO CAPTURING THE SHINY OF EDWARD @w@ Goodness, this is beautiful. All the little details, all the coloring... candy for the eyes.
