Outside the castle city of Neiking (in the world my OC's inhabit) - Fishing huts, stables, farms-- Everything except the instruments was done with gel-pen and prismacolor markers, the instruments were done with acrylic and a quill pen.
Thanks very much! :3 And, yeah, sort of. I have some little characters I draw, and I ended up creating (at least in my mind) a little story & world, plus all the stuff to go along with it- It's not anything but cliche, or anything I'll ever do anything with, but I love to spend my time imaging things for it *fun stuff, you know? :3* I sketch a lot, and since alone they're pretty damn unimpressive, I figured I'd slap a few that I colored together and present them like this.
Ahh...one of my favorite pages of your drawings! Serious kudos for the clever and original instrument designs -- I've never seen anything else like them! Also appreciate the well-done blend of nautical/fairy tale/late medieval style for the buildings and costumes. I would love to see stories written to go with the characters and settings....
Oh man, nautical stuff is so hard, but what I wouldn't give to be able to draw some really grand ships!
I would love to have written stories too- I'm... not so good at stories. I have them, but they're pretty... meh... generic (to say the least.) I'm horrible with words! I either ramble, or don't say enough. I'm very bad at over explaining too! I was thinking of doing a comic, but because of those things I've decided it's a bad idea. Also, in recent years, I've realized that I'm much happier drawing an illustration and then just explaining what's going on (even though I hardly do that enough- but I'm getting braver) I always liked how books had drawings with a descriptive caption below them- that's more 'me' I guess, heh heh.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
