Unfinished Portraitby *Woodland-Mel

From a picture of Frank Lloyd Wright in an airline's magazine. Done on the plane. I'm really out of practice so I couldn't finish before we landed. But I still liked it. (He was a little cock-eyed.) Done on April 21, 2011 with a mechanical pencil in a moleskin sketchbook. Took maybe an hour- or more? I was so happy to be able to draw someone with real features to their skin. If you do a Google search for his name, you'll see the original image for this.

Like I mentioned on my last upload: since I lost my arm for a year and a half, I'm too happy about drawing again to add things to scraps! If it bugs you, heh, feel free to unwatch me. -because I'm too happy to not keep doing this! And, if it irritates you: you don't understand- so, really then, shoo XD

YAY I'm so happy you can draw again! I really like the unfinished aspect of this, it makes it much more "drawing" and less much "photo copy"

I love sketches more than I do my finished works sometimes, and honestly, I feel like a shame putting it in my scraps at times because no one will ever see it in that deep, dark abyss. But aside from that, I just want to say I'm really glad you're back to drawing! Yay!

I love that you were able to vary the values using just a mechanical pencil. So niiiice. And the way you use lines to create form. Eeeh. I wish I could get this good.
